Solar product services
Product services, solar services included, are becoming
more and more popular around the world. A product service system emphasizes
access over ownership. Some common examples of product service systems
are laundromats, libraries, and video rental stores. But solar product
service systems and other “green” service systems exist,
as well.
In fact, in Europe, there are solar energy co-ops and other solar product
services: people are banding together to create a better, greener world.
While there are some product service systems in the United States that
focus on a more sustainable world, there are few (if any) that are focused
mainly on solar power.
If you are interested in having solar product service systems in your
neighborhood, city, or state, contact your neighbors and mayor and representatives.
The more people that you can convince to do the same (showing that there
is an interest), the more impact you can have.
Also, you could start up your own solar product service. First take
a look at what other countries have done, then find a way to do something
even better!
